Some poeple welcome in the new year with gym memberships and overflowing salad bowls. Others, like me, celebrate by testing new dessert recipes.
Christmas seems to bring out the baking-best in just about everyone, so why not check out this oh-so-delicious-looking Pinterest board, courtesy of Food Bloggers of Canada:
Recipes have been posted by Food Bloggers of Canada members, so really it’s the cream of the crop. Cranberry white-chocolate shortbread cookies anyone…?
Happy holiday baking!
I know, I know, this is supposed to be a blog about bakeries. About people who are in the business of doing the baking for you. It is not my job to provide recipes that you then need to turn around and bake for yourself.
This post is so overdue. So much time spent out of doors lately means I’ve been neglecting my indoor, blog-post-related duties. Enough is enough though, and it’s time to give a shout-out to two bakeries discovered on a recent road trip through Norfolk County, ON.
After walking by this place time and again over the past year or so, I decided today was the day I’d finally check out Moo Milk Bar for a little Saturday morning milk and cookie action with the hubby and the little guy.
I’m not sure how this happened, but a cupcake place has existed in my neighborhood since 2009 – 2009 – and I only just noticed it a few weeks ago during a routine streetcar trip to work along Queen St East. I must be losing my edge.
